Financial Rights Legal Centre
Financial Rights Legal Centre (FRLC) is a specialist community legal centre. FRLC specialises in consumer credit, banking, credit and debt, loans and insurance.
As a specialist service, the Financial Rights Legal Centre is a unique legal service, it is the only one of its kind in NSW, and one of a few centres across Australia that completely integrates telephone assistance with financial counselling, legal advice and representation. Financial Rights Legal Centre also operates the Insurance Law Service, an Australia wide insurance advice service.
Financial Rights, like most community legal centres, is largely government funded, but independently managed by a volunteer management committee. Donations are also a part of Financial Rights Legal Centres funding, and we are supported. by volunteers.
The Financial Rights Legal Centre also has a wide variety of resources on their website, including links, factsheets, sample letters, financial hazards checklists and multilingual resources.
Mob Strong Debt Help is a dedicated financial counselling service for Indigenous Australians, specialising in issues like consumer loans (like payday loans, credit cards, and home loans), banking, debt recovery and insurance (like car, home, travel, life, funeral, pet insurance)
Financial Rights Legal Centre also manages the National Debt Hotline, a free telephone financial counselling service. The National Debt Hotline is able to assist clients manage their money and sort out their debt.
