Phone Advice

Our solicitors give free legal advice over the phone on a wide range of matters every Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 12 noon. For phone advice ring us during those times on 4422 9529 (Nowra and Northern Shoalhaven) or 1800 229 529 (Ulladulla, Eurobodalla and Bega Valley Shires).  Women living in the Bega, Bombala, Cooma-Monaro, Palerang and Queanbeyan Local Government Areas can also ring during these phone advice times on 1800 229 529 to access our South East NSW Women's Legal Service solicitor.

Jerrinja - Roseby Park

No appointments necessary, confidential free legal advice on Mondays once a month between 10am-12noon in the Jerrinja Healthcare Centre.  Dates for 2012 - 13 February, 12 March, 16 April, 14 May (no clinic in June due to public hol), 16 July, 13 August, 17 September, 15 October, 12 November and 17 December.

Waminda Aboriginal Women's Health & Wellbeing Service

No appointments necessary, confidential free legal advice between 1.30-3.30pm once a fortnight at Waminda (Osborne Street Building).   Dates for 2012 - 13 & 27 February, 12 & 26 March, 9 & 23 April, 7 & 21 May, 4 & 18 June, 2, 16 & 30 July, 13 & 27 August, 10 & 24 September, 8 & 22 October, 5 & 19 November, 3 & 17 December.

Wreck Bay Community

No appointments necessary, confidential free legal advice between 10am-12noon on Fridays once a month in the WBACC Administration Building.  Dates for 2012 - 10 February, 9 March, 13 April, 11 May, 8 June, 13 July, 10 August, 14 September, 12 October, 9 November, 14 December.

Family Relationship Centre, Nowra

Appointments are necessary which can be made either through the Family Relationship Centre (4429 1400) or Shoalcoast.  Free Family Law legal advice between 9.30-11.30am once a fortnight.  Dates for 2012 - 13 & 27 February, 12 & 26 March, 9 & 23 April, 7 & 21 May, 4 & 18 June, 2, 16 & 30 July, 13 & 27 August, 10 & 24 September, 8 & 22 October, 5 & 19 November, 3 & 17 December.

South Coast Outreach Visits

No appointments necessary - Tuesday afternoons every 2 months.  Outreach dates for 2012 - 28 February, 23 April (note this is a Monday due to ANZAC day), 26 June, 21 August, 23 October and 4 December.

Eden

Appointments are required.  Contact Shoalcoast on 1800 229 529.  9am to 12noon Wednesdays every 2 months.  Outreach dates for 2012 - 29 February, 24 April (note this is a Tuesday due to ANZAC day), 27 June, 22 August, 24 October and 5 December. 

Narooma

Ulladulla

Batemans Bay

Moruya

South East NSW Women's Legal Service - Outreach Schedule

The Solicitor visits the following communities during the third week of each month to undertake face to face apppointments: Mondays - Palerang Shire at Braidwood, Tuesdays & Wednesdays - Cooma-Monaro Shire, Thursdays & Fridays - Bega Valley Shire.  Dates for 2012 - 20-24 February, 19-23 March, 16-20 April, 21-25 May, 18-22 June (dates for remainder of 2012 will be posted in June).

This Child Protection Resource is designed to help parents and other family members understand ‘the system’ if they are involved (or look like being involved) in Community Services proceedings in the Children’s Court. It is a series of fact sheets covering topics such as: Tips for dealing with Community Services, Removal of Children, Long-Term Out-of-Home Care and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Placement Principles
